Where do you work?
Courtenay is home base. We also take jobs in Courtenay, Comox, Cumberland, Royston, Merville, Black Creek and Union Bay. These seven communities sit across the four jurisdictions covered in our permits guide. If your address falls outside those seven names, call and ask. Many regional boundaries do not match map apps.
What should I have ready when I call?
Tell us the tree's approximate size and position relative to your fence or power line. Let us know if it is one of the species with its own permit threshold, such as Garry oak, Pacific dogwood, western white pine, Pacific yew, trembling aspen or arbutus. If you're not sure, that's fine too; we can usually tell from a photo.

If a tree is already down or leaning over a roof, a driveway or a line, please tell us when you call. Keep everyone well clear of it until we arrive. On the phone we will tell you what can wait until the visit and what needs dealing with sooner, and what to watch if the weather is still coming through. Because unstable stems require specialized rigging, your initial phone details determine which equipment we bring to your property.
