Does that mean you can take any tree down?

What is different about a forest-edge lot?
Trees growing inside a stand rely on each other for shelter from wind. Removing a key stem along a forest-edge lot leaves remaining trees exposed to Cumberland wind patterns. On lots backing onto standing timber we will usually talk you through taking a group down in one visit rather than one tree a year.
What happens to the wood once it's down?
We chip all brush and stack or haul the wood rounds based on your preference. A forest-edge lot usually gives us more wood in one visit than a single yard tree would, because we are normally clearing more than one stem at a time. We rake away loose branches and debris across the work area before leaving. On a forest-edge job the hauling is often the biggest single line on the quote, so we price it on its own and you decide whether the wood goes or stays.
